Pros: Does the job. Works in Linux. Goes into Standby Mode quickly. Ink is cheap. You can find 5 cartridges (2 black and one of each color) for $14.

Other Thoughts: There is a problem with this printer, but I called Brother and got a solution for it: The printer likes to clean the heads far too often when you power it up. In my case, it has been every 3rd or 5th time.
Therefore, the solution is to keep it plugged in to a live power outlet all the time, even if you power down your computer every night (in other words, don't turn off the printer or the power strip it's attached to). Don't worry: the printer is very good at going into "standby mode" and doesn't waste power.
This way, you'll save ink, since it won't do so many head cleanings. I still like the printer and recommend it when it is on sale.
