Pros: When it worked, the picture was quite nice using Windows Media Center running on Vista. Included software had some nice features like taking a screenshot of a TV program, which Media Center can't do.

Cons: I used my 24x7, and that seemed to put a lot of stress on the device. A few times the (Pinnacle version) device stopped working. After a lot of putzing around, I would get the device working again. It died about 3 months after I bought it. The blue light doesn't work, and Windows doesn't recognize it anymore.

Other Thoughts: Might be good for temporary use in a laptop, but I would avoid using it constantly in a home entertainment system. I now use SiliconDust's HDHomerun network tuner, and it's a lot more stable and versatile to have everyone on the network able to record or watch TV.
