Pros: good clear pic, nice big screen, very easy to navigate, very user freindly,good simple notebook.

Cons: it could be a little faster

Other Thoughts: i got this for my wife, she loves it, it dose all see needs, from browsing the web facebook and watching movies, and photos.

Great Starter Laptop; Unfortunate Configuration

Pros: .
* Large keyboard, including a "Delete" key which traditional notebooks don't have
* Functional for web browser and less demanding applications
* Does not heat up easily
* Fairly long battery life, having streamed videos online nonstop for over two hours on one charge
* Excellent warranty under Dell
* Glossy screen...might also be a con
* Very bright screen

Cons: .
Major:
* Tons of Dell bloatware that slows the system at first
* No Dell restore CD/DVD included
* Horrible new recovery system

Minor:
* No HDMI (ASUS A52F-XE4 has it for a lower price)
* No screw holes for the VGA port allowing the cable to fall out very easily
* Feels like a toy... The plastic casing feels hollow and might crack easily

Other Thoughts: The hardware features (CPU, RAM, HDD) are typical for a laptop in this price range so I didn't factor any of that into the pros/cons.

I guess for cost savings, Dell decided not to include their iconic restore disks anymore and opted to use the restore share and to have users make their own restore DVD. This was a huge disappointment as I specifically purchased a Dell for my parents to use thinking I would have their restore disk.

In addition, the software that allows you to create a restore disk will only allow a full system restore unless you purchase the "upgrade" from Dell. Instead, I opted to use the Windows backup program built into Win7. If I had known they didn't include the restore disks anymore, I would have opted for an ASUS or Lenovo laptop since they're cheaper than Dell for the same features.

[As a somewhat off-topic note, the new Dell Precision laptops we received at work also didn't include recovery disks. This might be a thing across all Dell laptops.]

Pros: Nice NAS. It is more on the basic side and easy to setup. It has support for 2TB Drives. I am running 2 X WD Green Drives in it. Very small, it is not much larger than the 2 drives and power cord.

Cons: Speed is not the best, I think it maybe the unit but could be the green drives I am using. According to others they have some speed complaints. This unit could be fast but for the price I think it is acceptable.

Other Thoughts: I did not and most likely will not setup up the print server so I can not comment on that.

I either do a direct copy or have used Acronis.

I have had and used this version and the Dlink 321, which is similar.

Does not support NTFS only EXT - do your research and be prepared to format your drives.
