Usually we feature the product info first but this is so great we decided to give you a quick review first;

Pros: Folks, these are amazing speakers! I picked these up from Newegg when they went of special. Phenomenal! I wanted high quality 2ch speakers but did not want to have to put a ton of money into a quality amp. That's why I decided on these. They each have a built in 200w amp and can be connected to a receiver via speaker wire or to a line level output (ipod). They are perfect for folks who want simplicity. And the sound is absolutely amazing. The ES panel is fantastic - though a bit directional, meaning that you get the best sound when it is pointed at you. The bass is very tight and punchy. Though it may need a subwoofer for some. I think I will wait and decide on a subwoofer later.
Cons: ES panel are a tad directional. Still very warm and they fill the room well. Love it. Also, not a con, but some may still want a subwoofer, so these aren't exactly a one stop shop. I suppose neither of these are cons, just thought I would comment.
Other Thoughts: Truly wonderful speakers. I think most audio snobs would still classify these as decidedly on the low-end of the high-end speakers. Maybe... But I love them. Even the speaker box they come in is very high quality. It's not wood, but composite MDF with a veneer. I've heard the other color (cherry maybe) kind of looks cheap, but I cannot comment. I am very satisfied with these. Thanks Newegg for the VERY fast shipping. They arrived in their original shipping containers with no scratches or problems. Very satisfied.
